Nonrenewable resources are used worldwide to create electricity, heat homes, power vehicles and manufacture goods. Resources are considered nonrenewable if their quantities are limited or if they cannot be replaced as fast as they are used up. Some nonrenewable resources have been formed over millions of years and will eventually be depleted altogether. Fossil fuels such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas, nuclear power and certain aquifers are examples. Metal ores are prime examples of non-renewable resources.
In contrast, resources such as timber and wind (used to power energy conversion systems) are considered renewable resources. The renewable energy from the sun, wind, wave, biomass and geothermal energies are based on renewable resources. Renewable resources such as the movement of water (hydropower, tidal power and wave power), wind and radiant energy from geothermal heat (used for geothermal power) and solar energy (used for solar power) are practically infinite and cannot be depleted, unlike their non-renewable counterparts, which are likely to run out if not used sparingly. Natural resources, called renewable resources, are replaced by natural process and forces persistent in the natural environment. There are intermittent and reoccurring renewables, and recyclable materials, which are utilized during a cycle across a certain amount of time, and can be harnessed for any number of cycles.

London is a busy, cosmopolitan city on the River Thames in south-east England. it is the capital city and has more than twelve million inhabitants from all corners of the world.
The first inhabitant of London made their homes next of the river. After the Great Fire of London in 1666, most of the city was rebuilt and a lot of famous buildings, for example, St Paul's cathedral, date from that time.

Getting around London can be a problem. There is a lot of traffic so it is often quicker to do short distances on foot. The underground covers a huge area and is usually quicker than buses, but it is rather expensive. If you want to bring your car into the city you have to pay a special tax. This has helped to reduce the traffic problems.

For example, there are historical sites, some of the best museums and art galleries in the world, fascinating street markets, and modern tourist attractions like the London Eye. All year, excellent plays, concerts and musicals are on the at the city's hundreds of theatres.

In short, London is my favourite capital city. Although it is big and crowded, it is always exciting. It is the perfect place to spend a few days visiting galleries, shopping, going to the theatre or just sitting in one of the thousands international cafés watching the world go by.
